What Piglet Wore // Gruffalo’s Child 2 Piece Set

On the whole, I tend to steer away from character clothing for Piglet.  There is one exception to this rule, Gruffalo and Gruffalo’s Child clothing which is available within Sainsbury’s.  Piglet adores the classic Julia Donaldson stories and we have the short animated films recorded on our Sky+ box ready to be viewed at a moments notice.  So knowing how much she loves the stories and seeing the beautiful collection of Gruffalo’s Child clothing available within the baby section (up to 24 months) I just had to purchase a few items when I saw them.

Gruffalo’s Child 2 Piece Set // What we love…

A charming 2 piece set consisting of a long-sleeved top and coordinating leggings.  The top features an embroidered Gruffalo’s Child and Mouse detailing.  Along with the wording…

‘The Gruffalo’s Child was feeling brave’

The cream top features a light pink thin stripe detail also showcasing a Gruffalo print frill hem.  Whilst the deep pink leggings include a dragonfly embroidered on one leg adding that extra piece of detailing and interest to the outfit.

Gruffalo’s Child 2 Piece Set // The practicalities…

Although Piglet is almost two she is still comfortably wearing size 12-18 months clothing.  As you can see from my photos even this size is a little big on her (although allows for growing room).  The crew neck top features three poppers on the back for ease of dressing.  Along with coordinating leggings which has an elasticated waistband to keep them in place during all her adventures.

The top is 100% whilst the leggings are 97% cotton and 3% elastane which is wonderful not only in terms of being comfortable for Piglet wearing but for me when it comes to washing them ready for the next airing.

Gruffalo’s Child 2 Piece Set // Where can I get one?

The Gruffalo’s Child 2 Piece Set is priced at £9.00 and is available buy within most Sainsbury’s stores or via the TU Clothing website.
