This Autumn weather can be so unpredictable and we seem to have worn summer dresses one day only to be digging out a woolly hat the next. I have trying to dress the children in layers rather than reaching for their winter coats and I had been looking for a lighter coat for Cora as she feels the cold more than the rest of us. I found this pretty mustard coat in Zara and it was exactly what we needed.
Zara Coat // What we love…
The coat is lightly padded with a muslin style outer. It is super soft and squishy and doesn’t limit her movement at all. It isn’t waterproof but it is perfect for slightly cooler dry days. The simple mustard colour goes with so much and the inside is a monochrome star print. It zips up the front and has a hood on the back as well as two little slip pockets on the front.
The coat came from the girls section but I think it would look equally sweet on a little boy. It retails at £22.99
Zara Coat // The practicalities…
Cora is wearing a 9-12 months here and she is a petite 15 month old. I would say the sizing is slightly generous and the cuffs can be rolled up or down to make this last longer. I am hoping it will still fit in the spring with the sleeves down. I have found the colour so flexible as it adds a pop of bright to monochrome and looks autumnal with reds and browns.
The fact it is so soft and flexible makes it ideal for babies as it doesn’t limit them crawling or cruising and it packs down small to fit in a bag for transporting too.
Zara Coat // Where can I get one?
This is available online or in store from the younger girls (3 months – 4 years) section. Zara have a huge selections of coats and jackets to suit every season so check them out!
Cora is wearing it here with a Bespoke kids dress, tights and Dr Martens boots. Finn wears Tootsa McGinty trousers and a Lindex jumper
