This Autumn weather can be so unpredictable and we seem to have worn summer dresses one day only to be digging out a woolly hat the next. I have trying to dress the children in layers rather than reaching for their winter coats and I had been looking for a lighter coat for Cora as she feels the cold more than the rest of us. I found this pretty mustard coat in Zara and it was exactly what we needed.
Having three boys followed by a girl has made me glad that I invested in some unisex pieces as I love seeing clothes that were my favourites being worn again. One of our favourite brands for unisex kidswear is Tootsa McGinty. Their classic and timeless styles are designed for boys and girls and they are made so well that they are easy to reuse for multiple children. Cora has plenty of her brothers’ old Tootsa but I loved choosing this little jacket cardigan for her (with the idea of passing it down to her little boy cousin once it is outgrown).

Growing up with the beach on their doorstep, my children think of it as another playground and one with endless possibilities. We are there in all weathers, in our shorts and t-shirts in the summer and their waterproofs and wellies in the winter. When Snuglo offered us one of their t-shirts, it was a no brainer and we went for the ‘I do like to be beside the seaside’ slogan.
